1. Tinker Road construction Project: Adding a new storm sewer system, replacing water and wastewater lines, installing a 5-foot concrete sidewalk on the north side and curb ramps from Emerald Drive to Ponderosa Street. Update: Construction will be finished by the end of the year, Assistant City Manager Adrienne Lothery said. Tinker Road will be closed from Ponderosa Lane to Caldwell Hughes Road and traffic will only be able to travel eastbound, she said.
Renovations have been completed and a new name has been unveiled for a hotel in Southlake. Coury Hospitality, based in Grapevine, has announced the rebranding of The Southlake Hotel to The Elmore Hotel on Sept. 23, on social media. The property is managed by Coury Hospitality, which manages Hotel Vin in Grapevine and is owned by NewcrestImage.
What happened: A $950,000 renovation on the main lobby, outdoor space and rooms started in August 2024, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. Sagewind is the lobby restaurant and the renovation added Social Outlaw, a cinematic speakeasy, according to the social media post.
What else? The hotel is now part of Marriott’s Tribute Portfolio Hotel following the renovations, according to the social media post. According to Marriott website, there are seven such locations in Texas.
Meat U Anywhere closed its Trophy Club location earlier this week, Cook Guan Mirtans said.
The details: The restaurant served brisket and chicken enchiladas and tacos, according to its website. The Meat U Anywhere also served sandwiches, brisket, turkey breasts, pulled pork and baked potatoes, its website stated. Meat U Anywhere also has a location in Grapevine, which remains open.
