Club Car Wash to open 3rd location near Fair Oaks Ranch

This nationwide car wash chain is opening its third overall location in Boerne, near Fair Oaks Ranch, soon.

Some details: Club Car Wash is planning to open a new location at 28353 I-10 E., next to the QuikTrip.

While the business has yet to release an opening time frame, construction is progressing and the new location is currently hiring for new positions, according to the company's website.

This is the third Club Car Wash to expand off of I-10 near Fair Oaks Ranch, with a McDonald’s opening next door in November, according to previous reporting from Community Impact.

What they offer: Club Car Wash offers a touchless car wash experience along with free vacuums, mat cleaners and more, according to its website.

There are also monthly unlimited wash memberships available for patrons.

Frosted Jack Christmas Tavern is now offering cocktails and more in downtown Boerne

The new holiday pop-up shop and beverage spot has opened for the season, offering cocktails, mocktails and more holiday beverages right on the Hill Country Mile.

Led by the local establishment Camp Bar & Feed, the Frosted Jack Christmas Tavern is located at 421 S. Main St., next to Hamby’s and Bear Moon Bakery and Cafe.

Another dual-branded Applebee’s and IHOP recently opened in San Antonio at 9911 I-10, near Wurzbach Road.

After closing earlier this year for a renovation project, the restaurant has reopened in October, restaurant staff told Community Impact.

Originally a single IHOP, the restaurant is one of several throughout the area to close and reopen as the dual-branded concept.

Bexar County primary elections kick off: See who’s on the ballot for the March 3 election

As of Dec. 8 filing deadline, the March 3 Democratic and Republican primary elections have taken the next step, with multiple county races up for contention, including the Bexar County judge.

What’s on the ballot: Candidates on the ballot include the Bexar County judge, precinct commissioner and county court at law. According to the Texas Secretary of State website, no Independent, Libertarian or Green Party candidates filed for primaries.

For Bexar County judge in Democratic primary elections, former Mayor Ron Nirenberg, now professor in practice at Trinity University’s communications department, and incumbent Peter Sakai are both filed as candidates.

In the Republican primary, Patrick Von Dohlen is the lone candidate for Bexar County judge.

What else? For county court at law, the Democratic primary elections have five races in contention, including Bexar County judge No. 8, No. 9, No. 10, No. 12 and No. 14. The Republican primary races have no contested races.
