A pair of Richardson road projects are set to impact drivers over the next few months.
What you need to know: Fiber optic work will cause lane closures on Mimosa Drive, Coit Road and Campbell Road “for the next few months,” according to a news release from the city.
Additionally, another project on Buckingham Road will cause the road's westbound right lane near the intersection with Audelia Road to be closed at all times. The second phase of that project will cause Buckingham Road’s eastbound left lane to be closed to traffic near its intersection with Audelia Road at all times.

Andalousia Hookah Café recently opened in Richardson, said Wassim Merched, founder of Andalous Mediterranean Concepts. A soft-opening is underway and a grand opening will be held at a later date, a company representative said.
What they offer: The upscale café—which was designed as a social space for study sessions, date nights and gatherings—offers over 30 flavors of premium hookah and Mediterranean-inspired drinks in a cozy, quiet setting, said Merched in an email.

What to know about the 17 state propositions on the Nov. 4 ballot
Texas voters will decide on 17 proposed amendments to the state constitution during the Nov. 4 election.
The overview: The propositions, which were adopted by state lawmakers earlier this year, include measures aimed at reducing property taxes, funding water supply projects and creating a state dementia research institute.
“This is an opportunity to make your voice heard about the governing document of our state,” Secretary of State Jane Nelson said in a June 25 statement.
More details: Texans have until Oct. 6 to register to vote in the upcoming election. Early in-person voting runs from Oct. 20-31, and Election Day is Nov. 4.
