PREVIEW: Clear Creek ISD to consider grant for English, Spanish language arts

The Clear Creek ISD board of trustees is scheduled to consider approval at its April 13 meeting related to a Texas Education Agency grant awarded to the district to support elementary English and Spanish language arts instruction, according to district documents.

What you need to know: The district has been awarded $773,500 for the Leadership and Instructional Foundations for Texas, or LIFT, grant for the 2026-27 school year, according to district documents. 

What’s next: The board of trustees will meet to consider approval of the grant at 6 p.m. in the CCISD boardroom, located at 2425 E. Main St., League City.

Bowlero Webster became Lucky Strike Webster, a business offering bowling, an arcade, billiards and a sports bar on March 31, according to a social media post from the brand.

The details: Lucky Strike Webster offers 40 high quality lanes, an arcade with classic and modern games, air hockey, free wifi and a pro shop in a fully wheelchair-accessible space, according to the brand's website.

Texas Renaissance Festival tickets going on sale April 15

Tickets for the 2026 Texas Renaissance Festival will go on sale April 15, according to an April 2 news release. There will be a 20% discount from April 15-30.

Quote of note: “April 15 marks the beginning of the journey towards this year’s festival, and we’re excited to offer this special discount to our guests to celebrate the season ahead,” TRF Marketing Director Tyler Moyer said via news release. “We can’t wait to open the gates of the Texas Renaissance Festival once again and create magical memories for every visitor.”

More details: The Texas Renaissance Festival’s 52nd season is scheduled to take place from Oct. 10 through Nov. 29, and will feature over 70 acres of activities, entertainment and markets for attendees, according to the news release.
